Phrase Searching |
Google allows phrase searching. Putting double quotes around a name or 2 keywords is the most precise way to search. This tells the search engine to find only sites that have the words you want side-by-side.
Examples:
Tip:
To search precisely, combine phrase searching with implied Boolean (+/-) or full
Boolean (and, or, and not) operators.
Example: +"poison ivy" +symptoms
Caution:
If a phrase search is combined with additional keywords using + and/or -,
you need to put a + or - sign before the phrase in addition to the other
keywords. When the search consists of a phrase with no additional keywords
("To be or not to be",) you do not need a + before the quotes.
