Quick Search |
SIRS Quick Search is useful when you want
to locate articles and Internet sites based on your own combination of keywords
and phrases.
When conducting a keyword or quick
search, you may have your articles returned by:
- relevance: lists your articles
based on most matches of your keywords or phrases
- date: lists your articles by date,
starting with the most recent
- Internet sites are returned in alphabetical
order
SIRS offers several ways to enhance your search:
- Boolean operators: and, or, not
- Truncation: example: farm* will search
for farm, farms, farmers, farming, etc.
- Phrase searching: place quotation marks
around the phrase "nuclear war" but not around the search terms
