LexisNexis News Search

News searches are easy in LexisNexis.  The General News part of the database lets you enter search terms in combination with the Boolean operators and, or, and w.  The w connector allows you to find a word within a specified number of words of your first and second search terms.

Search for news in more than 80 major newspapers by limiting yourself to one or two keywords, combining them, when necessary, with only one Boolean operator.

Examples:

• terrorism and Saudi Arabia
• ice skating or figure skating
• gymnastics w/5 tumbling (allows you to find articles about gymnastics that also contain the word tumbling within 5 or fewer words of gymnastics.)
