3. Type in Britannica Internet Guide Science . You will retrieve a keyword-searchable database of excellent Internet sites related to your topic.

Remember to use the Boolean search terms and, or, not to search for information about your topic in the most precise manner possible.

BRITANNICA Excellent resource for an overview of your topic. Many articles also contain Internet-related sites.
EBSCO HOST General periodicals database that contains either the citations or full-text articles from many marine biology-related periodicals.
PROQUEST DIRECT Provides the full-text articles of the last 90 days of the New York Times and 2 years of the Washington Post
CQ LIBRARY Contains full-text, in depth articles about topics that have governmental/political implications. A keyword search using the word marine resulted in articles about “marine mammals”, threatened coastlines and oil spills.
SIRS Outstanding full-text database of thousands of articles from periodicals, newspapers, journals and government reports. This database has an emphasis on the physical sciences.
